This is your chance to deliver a dynamic and visually compelling Pecha Kucha presentation, with the ultimate prize being an opportunity to present your winning talk at the TEDx Black Mountain main event in June 2025. Competition Theme: Dare to Change
Your Pecha Kucha styled presentation must align with the TEDx Black Mountain theme, ‘Dare to Change.’ We are looking for innovative, inspiring, and thought-provoking ideas that challenge perspectives and encourage transformation.
What is Pecha Kucha?
Pecha Kucha is a presentation format where you share your idea using 20 slides, with each slide displayed for exactly 20 seconds. The total presentation length is 6 minutes and 40 seconds. This concise format pushes you to communicate clearly, creatively, and effectively.
How to Enter
Submit a 2-Minute Introduction Video by 12midnight on January 20th 2025:
Introduce your presentation title and idea in 2 minutes.
Summarise your idea and its alignment with the theme, Dare to Change.
Ensure your submission stays close to the 2-minute mark. Submissions over 2 minutes will be penalised.
Remember to speak clearly and with passion, as this will set the tone for your presentation.

Your video must be in MP4 format.

Late entries will not be considered.
Judging and Shortlisting:
An independent panel will review all idea entries.
10 finalists will be shortlisted to present their Pecha Kucha live at the final event on the evening of 20th February 2025.
Submissions will be judged on creativity, clarity, alignment with the theme, and adherence to the format.
Final Event Details
Date: Thursday 20th February 2025
Location: Black Mountain Shared Space
Each finalist will deliver their full Pecha Kucha presentation (20 slides, 20 seconds per slide) in front of a live audience and the judging panel.
The winner will secure a spot to deliver their talk at the TEDx Black Mountain main event in June 2025.
All finalist will receive guidance on 'Preparing Your Pecha Kucha' for a live event. This guidance will include some delivery tips.
